Ristorante Lorelei

This is a beautiful restaurant/ setting and has a great ambiance and excellent service. The food, while beautifully plated and well-sourced (very fresh fish especially), lacked flavour and the flavour-complexity we would expect for a Michelin star restaurant. The exception was the dessert, that was excellent. The simplicity of tasting the ingredients exactly as they are from the earth may appeal to certain diners; however, for those who enjoy bolder flavours, I would not recommend.

Wow wow wow. Absolutely superb dinner and evening! We are staying at the hotel and booked the restaurant for our engagement dinner and it was perfect, the best finish to an incredible day. The service was excellent throughout, the views are incredible and we were lucky to enjoy the sunset. The food was just fantastic, I couldn’t fault anything. The apéritif’s, the bread, the oils all lovely. We had the lobster dumplings, the tagliolini with black truffle and scampi, we both got the lamb for our mains and all were stunning however the stand out star was the Taglionlini, it was sensational and I would recommend everyone to try! We paired with a local red wine which was recommended to us and it just topped it off, it was a very light wine so not too heavy and I honestly can’t remember the last time we have both been so satisfied with dinner, everything from start to finish was just incredible. Thank you so much as as our engagement dinner it now holds a very special place in our heart.

This was quite the experience in Italy. We had an eight-course meal. My eight courses were vegan. The appetizers that came out and the desserts were my favorite. I did not like the risotto at all. They do have a garden located below the hotel, so all of the ingredients were fresh. Each course was nicely plated and the dessert was artfully crafted. I absolutely loved the view as we enjoyed our dinner.

The “Lorelei” course menu was VERY underwhelming.. the view was great, the food was just not good. The first course was sushi but it was the worst sushi I’ve ever tasted. Sorry to say but even grocery store sushi is better than that. The rest have some that were decent but most was just okay. This was the most expensive meal the whole trip but ranked at the very bottom based on taste.

Very simple cuisine for a Michelin star restaurant. Perhaps they have changed their menu but it’s definitely not worth a star. Service was great, atmosphere was superb but definitely not worth it overall. They called me the next day after posting my tripadvisor review to ask what didn’t go right and offer a second chance but I wouldn’t try it considering that we paid close to €400 for two people, taking their most expensive tasting menu. How could they improve that experience if they didn’t the first time, right?

I was really looking forward to dine at this beautiful restaurant and to try out Chef Ciro’s culinary creations, and I have to say that it did not disappoint! The online booking process was straightforward unlike some other restaurants where it can get complicated. The staff were super nice and attentive from the moment we stepped foot on the property. Our table was right in front with a spectacular sea view at sunset (highly recommended), as the sky turned pink and the scenery looked even better by night. The menu had several options: a tasting menu or a la carte and a specials menu. We chose everything from the specials menu since it sounded mouthwatering. Everything we had was pure perfection, the presentation, taste, fresh ingredients, and portion size. What stood out to me was the olive oil menu which had different oils from multiple regions in Italy. My favorite dish was the fresh pasta cooked in butter from Normandy with white Italian truffles. I want to thank everyone, especially our server Mica and Chef Ciro, of course, for this gastronomical adventure of authentic Italian cuisine but with a brilliant twist.
